My name is Dr. Carolina Montufar. I received my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Health and Science and my Masters of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco.
I also had the opportunity to study TCM abroad, completing a total of 530 academic and clinical hours at Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM in Hangzhou, China, and Henan University of Chinese Medicine in Zhengzhou, China.
My clinical internships in China were completed in the departments of Clinical Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, TCM Surgery, TCM Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Gynecology.
In California, my clinical internships at ACTCM brought me to work at the California Pacific Medical Center inpatient rehab center, and to San Quentin Prison inmates at their annual health fair.
I believe that Traditional Chinese Medicine can be successfully applied to both individual and family wellness, and it is my vision to incorporate Acupuncture into my patients’ lives as an important part of becoming and staying healthy. My education and training in TCM can support any ongoing Western Medicine treatments, and I hope to become a partner in your wellness journey!
